Hello, I'm 27 and in Houston, found this through discord while trying to search for an orthodox girlfriend. Didn't realize how extensive this site is and all it has to offer. Thank you, Cristin! I actually spent a couple of days in Bucharest in May 2008 while traveling around Europe with a friend. At the time, I didn't know what Orthodoxy even was but kept finding myself drawn into all of these beautiful churches, thinking they must be Catholic. I think I even lit candles and venerated icons, having no idea what I was doing! My friend was atheist so she wasn't quite as excited but thankfully she let me keep dragging her into the churches. :smile:
