"The descent of the Holy Fire at the Tomb of Christ every Holy Saturday is the only miraculous event in human history which has taken place each year on the same day for more than one thousand years...[It has been publicly recorded for at least 1600 years!]...Each year, at noon on Holy Saturday, a light descends on the Tomb of Christ, the Holy Sepulchre, and ignites the ever-burning oil lamp in the Tomb's interior, while at the same time a blue incandescence from the same light diffuses throughout the Church of the Resurrection, illuminating the entire area and spontaneously igniting other lamps and candles around the Church. The light is identified with the supernatural light that radiated inside the Tomb of Christ during His Resurrection." (Haris Skarlakidis, "Holy Fire: The Miracle of Holy Saturday at the Tomb of Christ", p. 11 & Backcover)
In my video offering to you, I cover the struggle of our journey to the Holy Sepulchre and to gain entrance; the Holy Light service and the miracle itself; and conclude with scenes from Pascha at the Holy Sepulchre. My apologies that this took a year to bring to you, spent researching and analyzing footage, to make sure I was indeed identifying and presenting supernatural occurences. This video was shot during my pilgrimage to the Holy Land for Great Lent and Pascha in 2011, on a Canon 60D in 1080HD video 30fps, using a Tamron DiII SP 077 10-24mm, 1:3.5-4.5.
