I can't believe NOBODY voted for Dr. Crusher!
Speaking as a man, I think she is a stunning woman and a good actor. She has a smile to melt anything. She is simply to beautiful to ignore!
Michael
I voted for her. Not only is the actress who plays her an attractive lady, she is also from my neck of the woods! But I like the old ST much better. Picard was an OK character, but Kirk would have never surrendered his ship like Picard did to Q. I also attended a few ST conventions in my younger days...they were a blast! At one convention in Columbus, OH back around 1980 or so, Bruce Hyde, the actor who played Lt. Kevin Riley, was there. Despite the purposely horrible job he did in singing \"I\'ll Take You Home Again, Kathleen\", he actually is a good singer and a pianist. Well, one night after hours several of us were gathered around the piano with him playing, and we were all singing songs. I don\'t recall who pulled out the book of songs from the 1940\'s, it may have been Bruce himself, but there he is playing the old standard \"I Can\'t Get Started\", and nobody knew the song--except jazz aficionado yours truly. And Bruce gave me a very nice compliment on my performance that I will never forget.

You know why Scotty was a miracle worker? In the movie he told Gordy that he exaggerated how long repairs would take then finish them so much faster!!!
Riker is cute IN PERSON also. I met him, Majel Barrett, and (Mark?) Leonard (Spocks father). My ex boyfriend is friends with the guy from teh original Dark Shadows, he played Barnabas Collins. Sorry I am ditzy with names today.

Mark Lenard is the only person to have portrayed a Vulcan, a Romulan, and a Klingon. He was the Klingon commander in the very first ST movie (ST:TMP) Majel Barrett Roddenberry, who also played Counselor Troi\'s mom, Nurse Chapel, and Number One in the original ST pilot, is also an Ohioan (from Columbus). I also believe that she and Leonard Nimoy are the only two people to have been in the original pilot, the original series, and Next Generation.

Riker rocks because he\'s from \"A place called Alaska\" as he always said.
The birthplace of orthodoxy in the new world!

I always liked Tapestry, when Q allowed Captain Picard to fix some regrets. The results were interesting.

Reunion is good one...

I voted Picard, he has an awesome voice.
personally, I enjoyed the Voyager series the most (I know, black sheep - everyone hated voayager) - simply because there was an underlying goal in the series - to get home... so it was interesting to see all the ways they missed their chances.
The older series was before my time, and I could only catch it when public television did star trek marathons... and, at the time, I couldn't get past the crude special effects.
I didn't have much of an ear for fine acting, either... so any brilliance of Kirk was lost on me... but Picard made a good strong impression.

I really like Voyager and DS9... Enterprise to. It's shame Enterprise was canceled so soon. I can't watch the original series (I think it's creepy. lol) but the original movies are great.

I never found the original creepy... just cheesy...
the production value in the original movies was much better - so it was much more interesting
never saw enterprise...
but DS9 always felt a bit boring to me - that is, until the big final showdowns agains the Dominion - that was fun and exciting.
but my favorite were the Borg - and the most frequent run-ins with the Borg were on Voyager.... also they had some really interesting violent species in Voyager that made it more exciting... such as Species 8427... or that Klingon-like race that loved the sport of battle (they had a WW2 kind of episode with them)... \"The Year From Hell\" was a great mini series too. It's not often that you see a show kill off all the main cast! Only possible in episodes messing with the space time continuum.

I enjoyed TNG but I'll always be a fan of the the original. My favorite caharacter is Scotty followed very closely by Kirk.
Kirk-\".....The ship is damp... I complain, but nobody listens...\"
Alarms sound red alert lights flash
Sulu-\"Sir, Klingons on starboard bow.\"
Kirk-\"Again with the Kilingons..Mr. Scott give me full power!\"
A rather corpulant Scotty-\"It's no use Captain!! I cannae reach the control pannel!!\"
Not an actual Star Trek episopde but a great send up none the less.:)
