Hello Kimberly,
I lived many years in Tallahassee. The Greek church has been there for many many years.
I visited that Greek Orthodox church before. Be careful not to misinterpret people's behavior until you are immersed in their culture, especially if you are American coming from American churches where things are done differently.
In addition to the Greek church there's the Coptic Orthodox church. Check their website at http://www.tlhcopts.org/joomla/ or http://www.suscopts.org and click on the links The DioceseChurchesFloridayTallahassee
God bless
The next day after visiting that Church, a member spotted me while I was working and asked me if I had been at her church the day before. I told her I had, and she asked if anyone came up to me. I told her no, and she said they were bad about being rude to outsiders. That was a long time ago. It's probably a lot better now, but I think I will continue to support St. Michael. I really feel comfortable there. ;)
Good, after all that's what one needs, to be in fellowship with a church. It doesn't matter which one, as long as it's one that supports your faith and beliefs. I was under the impression that you were looking and thought of letting you know of what's available in Tallahassee.
About the feeling for the Greek church (I am not of that church by the way), I just thought that we all should be careful with these things. Having been around different churches from different denominations and different cultures, I can see how the culture differences can cause negative feelings on outsiders....that's all.
