While Michael is right about being among friends, I do think it is healthy to keep a watchful regard for all the nasties there are on the internet. We have removed some people in the past who were reported as having sent inappropriate emails and private messages - especially when it appeared that they were targeting minors.
If you encounter someone who is being a real creep, (e.g. predatorial, remarks full of innuendo, probing for personal information, sending URL links to sites that NOBODY ought to visit) send the OC username to any of the staff members and they will take care of it.
I know this isn\'t all that helpful when you\'re feeling nervous about being online - but we cannot protect this site without your help in reporting any incidents.
