My icon corner had six of these, of Christ, the Theotokos and several saints. I stumbled upon a thread on [url=http://www.desertcalling.com] Desert Calling [/url] which posted some disturbing info about who makes these, as referenced in this other article on [url=http://www.orthodoxinfo.com/general/monasteryicons.aspx]Orthodox Info[/url]
I took a closer look at what I had in the icon corner and noticed the letters in Christ\'s aura are in a different order than on any icon portraying Him I\'ve ever seen before ( see a pic of what I have [url=http://www.monasteryicons.com/products/regular/552s.jpg]here[/url] )
For now I have removed them from my corner and emailed my spiritual father about the subject. I don\'t feel comfortable having them there or being reverent to them.
Would like to hear your input on the subject. TIA
