I am in the chat room currently if anyone wishes to chat with a priest. Maybe this can become a \"regular\" room is OC is interested. Maybe those priests who are members can spend some time there just asking questions that may come up. Might be \"good\" might not......but I\'m there now.

a feature I never really trusted...
It is 7:32AM Eastern Time. I wonder what the forum will say when I post this?

Looks like the forum clock is defaulted to Pacific Time USA.

Thanks Fr. Athanasios,
I think this is a fantastic idea and really want to support it. Let\'s keep thinking outloud. For now, we will be holding regular community chat events throughout Lent so please join in on those. Perhaps we can also have a number of interested clergy participate in the Chat room at certain times and then publish a kind of schedule. One could also create a special room in the Chat for any specific topics.
Watch your inbox for the dates and times for the Lent chat.

I think this is a great idea but I\'m a little curious about the people who seem not to take questions to their own priest. I chat with my priest all the time, and if I have a question, I usually just shoot him an e-mail.
On the other hand, I\'m old enough to remember having to formulate my questions in Russian and examine my conscience with a dictionary at hand, and I remember how frustrating that could be.
I\'d love to see priests online all the time - we probably have enough time zones represented to make that work, if only we had enough willing priests.

That is why I want to keep it a simple chat. Some people don\'t have the ability for one reason or another. This CAN\'T become a place that replaces a spiritual father that is for sure.

Is there a day/ time of the day when you are usually online? I got tons of questions but many times I forget them just because it is hard to have somebody by your side and answer them.

Amen to your post. Thanks for providing adjunctive availability and for reminding us of the importance of seeing our spiritual fathers. I see my priest for coffee/lunch nearly weekly. I\'m needy that way! :-)
Blessings to you Father.

That is a good point....I will (maybe other Priests too) search my schedule and commit to a time here and there especially during Great Lent.
BUT THIS MUST NOT REPLACE CONVERSATION WITH ONE'S SPIRITUAL FATHER!

For those interested.....I'll be online in the chat room tonight around 10pm Eastern. Open topics night.

I go to the chat room every time I log on. Alas, I have never encountered anyone there. I would love to chat also if anyone is interested.
