Where did G.E.H. Palmer, Philip Sherrard, and Bishop Ware translate the first volume of the Philokalia into English?
Was it in London or on Mt. Athos? Or neither? This is an important research question. It was first published in London.

At the time, I heard they were working both places, but I couldn\'t give you the sources for that.

As someone with formal training as a translator,
I also have to ask why you need to know.
Translators who collaborate very seldom do all their work together or in one place.

Philip Sherrard lived in his \"hermitage\",about two hours away from Athens,in the beautiful island of Evia
He lived there with his wife , without electricity, studying and writing under the light of a petroil lamp.
