Yeah, I heard that they did too. I was hoping and praying that it wasn't some wild rumour. Quick way to tell, look up the notes for Rev 8:11 and see if it still equates the word "wormwood" with the slavonic "Chernobyl". If it does, they haven't changed it, or at least haven't changed it enough. In case it isn't obvious, the word "Chernobyl" does NOT mean wormwood. It is linguistically similar, but it's just not true.
Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter. - Revelation 8:10-11
The notes on 8:10, 11 Reminiscent of the first Eqyptian plague, this judgement affects fresh waters. Wormwood, an extremely bitter plant that would make the water undrinkable, symbolizes the bitter fruits of idolatry and sorrow to those who pursue adulterous liasons with the heathen Gentiles. (see Jer 9:12-16, 23:15)
So they did change it.
