In The Spirit Of Unity...
I have wondered, reading through blogs and such on OC...what is more beneficial to us, unity, or fallowing the Orthodox faith, reguardless of if people break away from us, or if the heretics never come back to the Church?
For all intents and purposes, I\'m finding that the more neutral, loose side...which is keyed on the ecumenical movement...seems more prevalent here. This bothers me, since we\'re all supposed to be lovers of truth, not of image.
Who here, in their heart, would rather see a million \"happy\" posts to which they agree, over one or two posts that, though they may not agree with at the time, see the truth in them, and actually \"think\" about the post...then come to a much more clear understanding of where they themselves stand in their faith, and if they need to change their views a little to be more in line with what The Fathers have taught from generations past?
Sadly, by the looks of it, the first is among the greater on this site, OC. I have hopes that I will see some benefit unto God occur with my membership here, but it wont happen all on my own, I know that.
I don\'t know...just disturbed by a trend I\'m seeing in posts and blogs...as well as polls lately.
