Who was it that said that Orthodoxy is the best kept secret in America? Well, in many ways it still is. We can\'t keep hiding our light under a bushel. Two doctoral candidates in religion who knew virtually nothing about the Orthodox Church? Shameful, but not on their part or their professors\'. The blame lies with us. We need to reach out more, and tell people exactly who and what we are. Bravo, Somsoc! You put a bug in the guy\'s ear. Hopefully he went and did a little investigating on his own. Instead of concentrating on ecumenism, maybe we need to concentrate on evangelism. You\'d be surprised at how many people know so little about Orthodoxy or have false preconceived notions about it. If God ever sees fit for me, unworthy as I am, to become Deacon, that will be something I will want to definitely concentrate on.
