When I initially came to Orthodoxy, my wife thought I was crazy! I had dragged her to so many churches looking for truth that she was not anxious to make another trip. She did follow me after about 6 months however only after she \\"saw\\" a difference in me. I would recommend \\"Dancing Alone\\" Frankie Schaeffer this a good source of information to understand so many things; The Enlightenment, the Romantic Movement, the Renaissance, the Reformation, etc As far as The Theotokos is concerned I would recommend \\"The Life of the Virgin Mary the Theotokos\\" by the Holy Apostles Convent in Buena Vista, Colorado. as far as the Pentacostal leanings, I would suggest Fr Seraphim Roses book : Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future\\" God Bless you and hang in there.
