We're not sure, could we post ourspecific asking for help here or not - but if no, asking admin to let us know this and delete.  It's a really shame for us to ask such help, but we are in a so bad situation now, so we were forced to publish this. Please, read our story and if you can to help - our family will be very grateful for any help! If no - please, just pray for us, prayers makes miracles. God bless all! We came to Florida with the hope of a good climate for our kids. My name is Valter, I’m a master woodcarver and designer who create masterpieces, but for our 5 years living here I had just 2 orders from Florida, all others were from other states and for more simple pieces than I had hoped. We had a very bad experience with shipping company YRC Freight, which didn’t deliver our package on time as promised, and totally destroyed our work. They didn’t pay any for the insurance we had purchased and we lost all our money and work because of their dishonesty. This set us far behind and we have not have the work to catch up. Right now we live in the old mobile home, which needs to be repaired very often. It’s destroyed because of the years. My wife and kids has a terrible allergy because of the Florida’s humidity, climate and old house. Our doctor strongly recommended us to move to a state with dry climate. We’ve found small house in Texas, with a workshop in a small city close to the art community in Austin and additional work for Churches. We had owner financing for short term. We’re paying good, but when time for total payment came, we couldn’t to pay, because of the lost work and money, and broken credit history didn’t allow us to finish the loan. Please, help us to not lose the home in Texas and save our kids health. We have a new baby, Sophia, on July, 27. Please, help us to grow them healthy! Here is our page for help here https://www.youcaring.com/valter-and-anna-fon-eynik-406905. God bless you all for your prayers and any help!
Hi Donna,Thank you for your words.  Kids are blessing from God ,  and we never think another way. This post was posted maybe year and a half ago. We've lost this home, and mostly because it was a fraud, as a result. We couldn't return anything. Neither money, neither house. So we still have not good times and still in Florida. But anyway, if God is sending us such hard times He provides power to got hrough it. Thank you for your suppoert and words, God bless you.
I don't remember the page, but there was an Old Testament reference that went along the lines of "woe to the person who turns wrong into right...etc" (maybe one of the OT Prophets?)...it is great to see that in a world where the "spiritually illegal" is being pushed into a state of "legalized social acceptance", there are still some state-sponsored bastions of resistance that are reacting with hard legislation against this global force...(see the link below): http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-22862210
Christ is Risen!Glad to see you are in contact with Fr's Kyrill and Mefodi. They are with the Bulgarian Diocese as I am also.Say hi to them if you speak tothem again.God Bless
GreetingsI must say that as a priest, the normal people in my parish are the special needs people. The special needs persons that I have worked with as both a priest and a therapist are closer to God than myself. I feel that most people are afraid to get close to those different from them, mostly from not realizing and perceiving a soul within them.God Bless!

Fr. germogen bless; Thanks for your kind response. Indeed what you say has been said to me before. Hieromonk Father Kyrill, palmyra, va. Has told me this several times. He and Igumen Father Mefodi have been praying for Luke for at least 2 years now. I will still pray that some good soul comes Luke's way. Luke sometimes gets tired of doing things with his now aging parents .. ;-). Thanks again Theodotus

Christ is Risen! Hello all, I am curious to see if there are any here with "Special Needs" children, adults.  I am an Orthodox Convert (we ARE all converts in one way or another are we not?) who entered Holy Orthodoxy early 2008.  I have a son, Luke, who will be 19 very soon with a very very rare genetic disorder called "Mosaic Trisomy 13".  His story (not very well written by me..) is here: http://www.livingwithtri13.org/albumluke.html (there are some pictures).   caveate emptor: If you are of a mind to see what Trisomy 13 is and decide to look on the internet, be warned.  Some of the images can be very upseting. I would love to make friends, discsuss strategies and just talk, from an Orthodox basis about these very special people.  Life is a HUGE challenge every day now. The Orthodox Church plays a MAJOR role in Luke's life (and ours!).  Luke now lives in a group home in Winchester, VA with 4 other young men.  We take him to Liturgy every Sunday at one of 2 parishes, depending on whether he is coming home for a visit (about every 3 weeks for an overnight).   The Priests at each of the parish's have been absoulutely wonderful working with Luke...he serves at the altar in each Church when Liturgy is served, and when we can take Luke (about 1.5 hours one way from home..) cant seem to get any others in the parishes interested in really getting to know Luke though.  Seems these with "special needs" have a major tendancy to scare folks away.. To be honest, as with anything, becoming involved in another's life as a friend, a true friend, is risky business. I joined OC many moons ago... I am happy to see it is back.. Guy (I was chrismated as "Theodotus" ).
Truly He is Risen! It's great to have you back, Fr. Athanasios! Thank you for your prayers and support. If you haven't done so already, please create a circle for your parish so you can start enjoying the communication and outreach tools it provides. I am eager to hear your feedback on ways the circles feature can be improved to assist you in your pastoral ministry.

Hi everybody, I was wondering if there are any other parishless people on the OC and what would you normally read on Sundays and feasts on your home-family church. Both Typika and Orthros (maitins) seem to be complete services for those of us who do not have the presence of a priest nor a periodical visit. Which of these services do you prefer and why? Thanks for your input.
As a priest I would suggest both. Matins prepares us for the Typica and instructs us on the saints of the day. The Typica is a shortened version of the Divine Liturgy. I would also suggest to take antidoran and holy water after the services.you might chech out the web site the dynamic horlogian & psalter at http://orthodox.seasidehosting.st/current_service.
Thank you Father. By suggesting both of them, you mean simultaneously? (maitins and then typika on a same day) or do you mean both of them are OK alternating between each other? Thanks again!
