In Thee All Creation Rejoiceth - Holy Cross Monastery Choir

Peter Fekula of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin and Saint Sergius parish in Glen Cove, NY.We continue to work towards preparing our choir for the transition to the new church. The acoustic environment in the new space is very different from our current church and will require changes in our approach to choral singing. We also hope to sing with a larger choir for important feasts, since the new, more spacious, kliros will accommodate more singers. The workshop culminated with our full group singing in the new church.This hymn was written by St. John Damascene in praise of the Mother of God. It is sung at every Liturgy of St. Basil during Great Lent.We give our heartfelt thanks to Rdr. Peter for joining us and working with us, and we look forward to future collaborations as we approach the day when we will being worshipping regularly in the new church!
