St. Edmund was the King of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of East Anglia in the Middle Ages. Very little is known about St. Edmund except the amazing legend of his martyrdom. His story, copied down by Abbo of Fleury, has tested time and lives on in all our hearts. He is a saint venerated in The Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox Church and the Anglican Communion.
