This is a solemn remembrance of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. His Imperial Majesty, along with his family, was cruelly murdered by the Bolsheviks in Yekaterinburg during the Russian Civil War. July 17th, 1918, was the day on which the shadow of evil fell upon the Romanov family. That terrible day is rectified only be canonization and prostration before the Lord.

May God bless we human beings, and let us remember Nicholas II, Alexandra Feodorovna, Tatiana, Olga, Maria, Anastasia, and Alexei. If you are an Orthodox Christian, show your love by praying for Stalin, Lenin, and Yurovsky. Forgive them, that they may find peace!

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on all of us; we sinners.

The music comes from Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninov's All-Night Vigil, a setting of the Liturgical Hour of Vespers for chorus. It is the fifth movement: "Now Lettest Thou Depart".
