The Bosnian War attracted large numbers of foreign fighters and mercenaries from various countries. Volunteers came to fight for a variety of reasons including religious or ethnic loyalties and in some cases for money. As a general rule, Bosnia's Muslims received support from Islamic countries, Serbs from the Eastern Orthodox countries and Croats from the Western Christianity.
The so-called mujahideen came across Croatia into Bosnia and were accused of many war crimes. However, the ICTY never issue indictments against these warriors. Instead, the ICTY indicted some Bosnian Army commmanders on the basis of superior criminal responsibility as a large number of these forces were part of the regular and "multiethnic" army of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Their record did also not stop the government of Alija Izetbegovi? to grant citizenship to at least 700 of these Mujahideens who fought in the war. It was only in 2007, after substantial pressure from the United States, that 367 of them were revoked as illegal. These included citizens from Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey.
This propaganda film by the Islamist Azzam Publications, which was forced to close down along with its website www.azzam.com shortly after the 9/11 attacks, has been edited because of some very disturbing pictures of dead bodies to make it available on YouTube. But the most important and interesting parts with the narrator commenting have not been left out. The whole one-hour documentary is available on the following link: http://www.thepiratebay.org/user/Yugobay
