Whether you're a right-wing nut, left-wing loony, somewhere inbetween, or something completely different, this is a place to intelligently discuss current political topics. This group is intended to facilitate discussion, not animosity. As my mother always told me, if you can't say it nicely, don't say it at all.

A group for Orthodox Christians who consider themselves liberal or progressive (no particular political party affiliation neccessary)! This is the place for like-minded individuals to discuss current events, the political landscape, and talk about politics as it relates to our faith. I'm keeping this group open with the assumption that those who want to join consider themselves liberal or progressive. If you are only interested in asserting conservative political beliefs with no real benefit to the group, please do not join. That said...WELCOME!! :) Here are a few basic guidelines to follow in order to make this a fun and quality group. GROUND RULES 1. Treat each other as you would want to be treated, with love and understanding. 3. Refrain from name calling, making accusations and judging. 2. Disagreements are bound to happen here, and intelligent debate is incouraged, but keep your exchanges civil and respectful or take it out of the group. 3. Remember that this is an Orthodox Christian forum. In the same way that we avoid angering or offending fellow parishoners in real life, let's act in the same way here. 4. Let's strive to represent Christ to each other the best way we know how! If these rules cannot be followed, you will be asked to comply or leave the group. It's not personal and not meant to be mean-spirited, it is just in the interest of keeping the peace in a diverse group. Oh, and this group does notreflect the beliefs of the Orthodox Circle as a whole.
