Here we can discuss *the* book of the Church: the Bible! "This is why we have become so tepid in our faith: we no longer read the Scriptures as a whole. Rather, we select certain passages as being more clear and useful, and we say not a word about the rest. This is just how heresies are introduced: we have refused to read the entire Bible; we have declared certain parts to be essential and others secondary" (St John Chrysostom, Homily on ).

This Group is for the Study of "Modern Holy Fathers" with a view to personal application. We will primarily study and discuss the writings of St. Theophan the Relcluse and St. Ignaty Brianchaninov. We will also occasionally discuss more general Orthodox books
