There is a Greek carol set to the melody of \\"Hark the Herald Angels Sing\\", but the Greek words are not a direct translation of the English words. Is this the carol you\'re looking for?
It\'s been many years since I heard the Greek version, but I remember it being perhaps the loveliest of the non-Greek carols adapted to be sung in Greek. Sadly, and strangely, I can only remember the last two lines of it, which translated back into English, say:
\\"Joy and light has shone (into the world)
(Now that) Christ has been born.
