My name is Sophia, I am new to OrthodoxCircle and to networking websites.
My family-husband and children-converted to orthodoxy about 13 years ago from the protestant reform movement.
I am disabled and homebound due to a severe form of Meniere\'s disease (an inner-ear disease) that has left me unable to travel without heavy medication. As a result I do not attend church very often and desire fellowship as it is difficult to get to know the people at my church due to my disability. I would like to find a few friends that I can fellowship with here.

hello, Sophia.
Welcome to the OC. My mother suffered with the same illness, but perhaps not to the same degree as you. Anyway, I hope that you will find a lot of friends here. If I can be of any help to you, don\'t hesitate to drop me a note.
Love in Christ.

Kalinichta, Sophia -
I am also a \'newbie\' here to OrthodoXCircle and somewhat socially-isolated post-high-impact rear-ended auto-collision last month; my Antiochian Orthodox church community is 55 miles away; I was able to get there for Friday vespers/Sat.Orthros/ Sunday Divine Liturgy the past 2 weekends, blessed be. I feel better/best when in Church and singing the prayers/chants; truly the \'best medicine\' for my recouperation/recovery. May you as well be able to make it to church soon again. Yours in the Faith, Elisabeth
