Dear OrthodoxCircle Members:
Although I am not exactly new to OrthodoxCircle, I never bothered to introduce myself on the forum.
My name is Michael, and I am finishing up a one-year \\"stint\\" as youth director of St. George Orthodox Church in Houston. This fall, my wife and I will move to Crestwood, NY, so I can begin studies for the MDiv at St. Vladimir\'s Seminary.
I just wanted to say hi to everyone, and ask for your prayers.
If you\'re interested in how I\'ve been preparing for seminary, and wanting to see my take on seminary life once I get there, check out my blog:

I\'ll always be a Texas boy at heart. Since I can maintain legal Texas residence as a student in NY, I\'m not going to get rid of Texas license plates. I don\'t care what those yankees say! LOL! Just kidding; We\'re really looking forward to NY; I know there\'s a lot to see and do up there, and being at the seminary while no doubt bring us into contact with many wonderful folks.

We\'re \'just\' across the river on the Tappan Zee Bridge, about 20 minutes from SVOTS (unless it\'s rush hour). I\'ve only been through Houston - never stopped to enjoy it properly - but I\'ve lived in Dallas for two years. If you have a question about NY (I grew up in Manhattan) give a holler.
