Hi everyone. I\'m Jack and I\'m new to this site and to the faith. I\'ve attended Liturgy for about a year now and became a Catechumen on 4/19/08 of the Tyler parish of the Diocese of the South of the OCA. It\'s been a long, strange journey for me. I wasn\'t born into Orthodoxy but I got here as fast as I could (once I learned about it). I\'m ready and willing to learn everything I can because I feel a need to learn any and everything. Happy Pascha everyone!

Just remember to pray for patience and wisdom, the rest will come in God\'s perfect timing.
Congrats on your catechumenate!

Welcome here and a good time as catechumen. My expierience is, that I learned the most important and helpful things in the church services and in my prayer times at home. Nevertheless, the catechumenens time and all I learned in my group and by reading at home were important, too.

Thanks for the warm welcomes and congrats everyone. It\'s great to know that the warmth of my parish also extends to the church in cyberspace.
Thanks for the advice katsmom. I most definitely need patience and wisdom.
Cyprian thanks for the article. I could always use reminders that I\'m learning, but nowhere close to being learned.
