I see that most newcomers to the site don\'t bother to introduce themselves here, but I think this community is still small enough for such introductions to serve a practical purpose (and I consider that to be a Good Thing).
I converted, along with my family, when I was in my early teens. Orthodoxy has subsequently had a profound impact on the way I perceive Life, the Universe and Everything.
I\'m currently a full-time musician, in the band Monroe Crossing. This has been a mixed blessing. While I\'m immensely grateful for such a rare opportunity to make a living by bringing joy to others, it has frequently kept me away from my home parish on Sunday mornings. I\'ve made it to a small handful of weekday services, but the upcoming 21st will be the first time in at least 2-3 months that I\'ve been at Holy Trinity on a Sunday.
I\'m looking forward to having this site/community as a spiritual resource when I\'m on-the-road. :)

Oh well, I guess I\'ll only be here through November. :( If the site follows through on the plan to charge subscription fees, I don\'t expect there will be enough users left for it to be worthwhile. (Please don\'t think I\'m a troll - I just found out about the upcoming subscription fees from the same friend that originally told me about the site - and I\'m terribly disappointed, as I firmly believe this decision will ultimately kill the site.)
