I am a homeschooling Mom of 3 boys, ages 12, 8 & 7. My husband (of 21 years) and I converted to Orthodoxy 12 years ago (just before our oldest son was born). We make our church home at St. John Chrysostom Antiochian Church in York, PA but we are also active participants at Annunciation Greek Church in Lancaster, PA.
I hope to get to know many new Orthodox friends here!
Susana (for St. Susana the Myrrhbearer)

Hi Elizabeth, this is Joanna. I had a problem figuring out the IM and you were not on line by the time I go t to seeing just who was on.
I hope emailing you works. I would love to chat or probably emailing would be better if we can work that out.
I have been a convert since 2003 as a Catechumen for two years and Chrismating in 2005 on Lazarus Saturday.
Once you come to Orthodoxy there is nothing to look back to. I am glad to find someone my own age also.
I don\'t know the first thing about Canada, except it (Prince Edward Island) must be a wonderful place to live. I will enjoy getting to know you if possible.
I was taken with your Yellow Rose ID. It is a Texas thing and that is where I was born. I now live in Oklahoma City and I love it here.
I attend St Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Church. e are Pan-Orthodox and have several ethnic sub groups in our Church. We are predominately Lebanese and getting ready for our annual Bake Sale. We call it \"Kitchen Evangelizing\".
I hope we work out one of these ways of communicating,
Hugs ~ Joanna

Hello Susana ~
Joanna ~ for the Myrrhbearer here. I don\'t know if we are emailing or just how the OC works yet. I am excited to find another Myrrhbearer. I Chrismated with a Mary of Bethany and my God mother is also claiming St Joanna as her name saint.
I am very new here and not to up on all the technology but willing to learn. That makes the OC a great place to play. I hope you will respond,
Hugs ~ Joanna

Myrrhbearers: From memory, at least 3 Marys, a Salome, a Martha and a Joanna. Also irreverently, but not inaccurately, known as the Spice Girls. (Think about it!)

Susana,
I\'ve actually been to your parish in York, PA. I was there one Sunday in the summer. Your choir is excellent. I also really liked the priest too.

Thanks to you all for the nice welcome.
I hope to get to know at least some of you better although I will probably not be on as often as I would like. Homeschooling 3 boys takes a lot of time and energy!
