I just finished the seventh book, and here are a few things that i want to say
Many people i know, including me, had the correct theory that Harry was a Horcrux, however, he didn\'t die for it.
Another theory from some people, that Regulus Black was R.A.B. was correct
I KNEW AFTER THE SECOND BOOK THAT SNAPE WASN\'T ACTUALLY A BAD GUY.
I didn\'t like the epilogue much--did anyone else dislike it?
And finally...
One of the things that i really like about HP is that it has a good moral:
Love is the most powerful (force??? thing?? something like that...) in the world.
Harry Potter has now ended, so...
Thank you, J. K. Rowling!!

I liked the epilogue, though to me it had the feel of a fan fic.
I especially loved Dumbledore\'s line when harry asked if that scene had been real or all been in his head: \"of course it was all in your head; but what makes you think it wasn\'t real?\" .......or something like that.....

does anyone else find it funny that the9 writer of \"Finding God in Harry Potter\" (a review by an Orthodox Christian), has the last name \"Granger\"

i agree that she tied up all the loose ends.
i just read something in the paper saying that \"very few bookstores will make money off one of the best-selling books of all time\" HPatDH
it\'s cuz every store is lowering the price usually 40 to 50 percent so that they get business. apparently they\'re selling it for pennies more than they buy it for

It doesn\'t help that Walmart is selling the book for 18.00. I bought mine at a locallly-owned bookstore and paid 27.00, which is STILL a deal compared to the 35.00 the book is supposed to retail at. However, I hate Walmart for doing that--though I\'m sure other stores are doing it too.
I wasn\'t a huge fan of the epilogue, but it DID give me a sort of \"awww...\" feeling, seeing Ginny and Harry end up together...though for the life of me, I don\'t know what Hermione sees in Ron. =) The pacing toward the end of the book slowed WAAAYYYY down, and there was a lot of dialogue explaining stuff, which sort of drug on, but in the end, it was a complete, good book. Bittersweet, definitely, which I like as well.

one of the things i didnt like about the ending is that she never said what harry grew up to be. it was a big part of the 5th book, and i really wanted to know! did he become an auror? thats what some are assuming, but you i cant assume things, i want to KNOW!

i never thought about that, but you\'re right!

She summed up Harry\'s life in her interview on NBC Dateline...Harry and Ron are Aurors, revolutionazing the department...Hermione is in Magical Law Enforcement in a noncorrupt Ministry of Magic.
It was a great interview...and she did admit that her religious beliefs played a big part in the books.

I just finished it was AWESOME!!!! The best of the 7! Really amazing! nevillie is my hero! He lopped that snakes head off! The epilog was great! Though can anyone explain why he didn\'t die when hit by the killing curse? Was it the horcrux took the blow instead of him? It was an excellent book! Snape turned out to be good to! I could go on for a lot longer but my brother wants to use this computer so.....

I honestly thought that, after the last chapter, (not the epilogue) when the statue guarding the headmaster\'s office stepped aside for Harry, that this was a clear indication that he was intended to follow Dumbledore/Snape in the job. I also thought this was the logical outcome, as it would give him the ability to guard Dumbledore\'s tomb, containing the Elder Wand, which was his plan at the end of that chapter. So, I was a little surprised by the interview she gave where she said Harry did go on to be an Auror...it just didn\'t make too much sense given the hints elsewhere.
Also, I thought that if she was going to do an epilogue chapter of the \'flash-forward\' variety, it should\'ve taken place at Christmas, given the very large role that Christmas celebrations have played in all the books (not to mention all the Christmas symbolism in book 7 itself).
