Does anyone know of any modern Orthodox apologists who have attempted to refute the atheistic philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre? I have found a few passing references, but nothing in-depth. I would prefer something accessible to a non-philosopher like myself. Grateful for any assistance.

Actually, if anything, Orthodoxy tends to try to utilise existentialist philosophies such as those of Jean-Paul Sartre to explain the teachings of the holy fathers in modern times. While we obviously cannot accept everything that Sartre said, a lot of what he said is much more Orthodox than earlier Western philosophers, and so in that respect his writings can open up the minds of many to the truth of Orthodoxy.

Interesting, the only references I have seen to Sartre in Orthodox writings have been negative ones. Do you have any examples of using his writings in this way?
