Not long ago, I Was fantasizing about going way up north and having snow, when someone told me that I could go to seminary in Alaska for free if I commit to serve there. Is that true? Where do I get more information about that?
Thanks.

Not sure, but the only seminary that I know of is St. Herman\'s.

That sounds like an awesome opportunity to view more of this country, learn more of the faith and maybe even come out a better person.

Alaska does need priests to serve its Orthodox churches, however the Diocese is facing ecclesiastical turbulence at the moment. Current goings-on may scandalize more than edify, unfortunately. Hopefully, things will settle down soon, but I fear things will get worse before they get better.

I had heard that something was going on in Alaska, but I didn\'t think it was a big deal. But then, I don\'t know much about it.

Without going into any particulars, let\'s please all pray for the Church in Alaska. Changes are happening right now and we need to ask God to make them positive and healing for all concerned.
Perhaps there will yet be the opportunity for Benjamin to go to Alaska and do good there.
