Greetings everyone,
I am VERY intersted in learning some basic orthodox iconography. I was wondering if anyone knows of any iconography schools, workshops, or any iconographer who is willing to give few private lessons. Thank you.
In Christ.

I only know of ones in the East. I just went to one sponsored by Hexaemeron. They do three a year. It was great. Go to hexaemeron.org. I\'m sure there are some in the West. Don\'t give up looking!

St. Stephen\'s Course (correspondence school through the Antiochian Archdiocese) has an iconology track.

Make sure that any iconography course you enrol in also has a solid grounding on the \"theory\" of iconography, and is not simply a \"how-to\" technical exercise in preparing boards and applying paint. There are a number of \"master iconographers\" around who run courses who are technically proficient, but who have been known to produce works which are dubious in their canonicity. From what I\'ve heard about Hexaemeron, there should be no cause for concern. OTOH, the same could not be said for Vladislav Andreyev (Prosopon School). He has a tendency to, er, be \"innovative\".
