Dear friends,
For those of you who have already done
or are doing an extensive study of the
Filioque I have read Saint Photios
Mystagogy of the Holy Spirit, The
Synodicon on the Holy Spirit, The
History of the Council of Florence.
I have read Orthodox books on the
Filioque issue and heterodox books
on Filioque. For those of you who read
a wide variety of sources on this issue
both in print and in the Internet what
have your studies against Filioque taught
to you? What is your response to the
\"logic\" of Andrew of Rhodes talked about
in Joseph Gill, S.J.\'s book The Council of
Florence, Cambridge University Press,
1959; cf. pp. 150ff.
Take care.
If any of you have time let us discuss the
issue of the Greek word \"dia\" through
as in \"through the Son\" and what it means
in Patristic writings of Orthodox Church
Fathers, especially as explained in
Ostroumoff\'s book (Holy Transfiguration
Monastery, Boston), The History of the
Council of Florence.
Take care.
God bless us, everyone!
